South Bethlehem is a borough in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 444 at the 2000 census.
(Note that this borough is not adjacent to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. It is, however, adjacent to New Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, which is in Clarion County.)

According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 0.2 square miles (0.4 km²), all of it land.
As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 444 people, 194 households, and 130 families residing in the borough. The population density was 2,746.6 people per square mile (1,071.4/km²). There were 208 housing units at an average density of 1,286.7 per square mile (501.9/km²). The racial makeup of the borough was 99.32% White and 0.68% African American.
There were 194 households out of which 26.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.3% were married couples living together, 4.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 32.5% were non-families. 31.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 17.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.29 and the average family size was 2.84.
In the borough the population was spread out with 23.6% under the age of 18, 5.6% from 18 to 24, 24.8% from 25 to 44, 22.7% from 45 to 64, and 23.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 41 years. For every 100 females there were 100.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 93.7 males.
The median income for a household in the borough was $29,688, and the median income for a family was $43,125. Males had a median income of $28,269 versus $26,000 for females. The per capita income for the borough was $16,266.
